Lapack's six acre spread of custom-built production lines at the Ultrapack factory at Tunny, Germiston, also include silkscreening for top quality on-pack labelling. PET Packaging

Ultrapak's technical partnership with SMARTPET of Holland - an internationally recognised leader in the design and production of top quality stretch-blown PET and PET/PEN packaging.
Ultrapak has a dedicated production facility for the Crystal Power range of plastic packaging.
Apart from the transfer of technology, Ultrapack has access to SMARTPET's library of preforms. This is recognised as one of the largest and most comprehensive in the world, offering packaging and closure components that meet all European and US quality standards.

For customers looking at packs for trial and test markets, we can source a selection of packaging components within days, and, once the packaging decision is made, can begin production locally within seven days. This gives true meaning to providing a competitive edge for our customers.

Crystal Power has won a reputation for producing wide mouth polypropylene (PP) jars of outstanding clarity.
Crystal Power's injection stretch blow moulded container's extremely high quality is reflected in the neck finish, even wall distribution and high gloss finish. Srystal Power also has the capability to decorate containers, utilising the latest UV technology from Germany.























Technology

Ongoing investments are made in upgrading equipment to keep abreast of the latest international technology. Ultrapack uses state-of-the-art blow moulding and injection blow moulding technology to manufacture quality products from 20ml to 5 litre containers. Customers a offered a wide selection of packaging options to enhance their products and thier on-shelf appeal.
Renowned for quality decoration, Ultrapack has incorporated the use of fully-automatic, multi-colour UV printing machines to creating superior packaging.




Tooling

Ultrapack's tool and moulds workshop reflects their passion for this highly specialised skill. An active apprenticeship programme is maintained to ensure these skills remain an in-house speciality. Our CAD and CNC facilities to make our own moulds means we can produce sample packs for customers quickly and cost-efficiently. Modifications can be done on the spot, all of which saves time and costs.
Mould-making is an essential part of Ultrapack's service facility. With the combination of high output computer aided moulding machinery and craftmanship, moulds are manufactured to the highest standard with speed and accuracy.
